In a shocking case of cyber fraud, a Booth Level Officer from Dehradun fell victim to swindlers masquerading as Election Commission authorities, losing ₹1.5 lakh in the process. The officer, misled by an SMS that claimed it was related to a performance review for the upcoming electoral roll updates, unwittingly shared a code.
