Reddit is phasing out its default r/popular feed for new users, shifting towards personalized content discovery. CEO Steve Huffman stated the feature “sucks” and misrepresents the platform’s diverse communities. Additionally, Reddit will restrict moderators to overseeing a maximum of five large communities starting March 2026, aiming for better community management.
