Julia Simon won gold in the women’s 15km individual biathlon at the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, becoming the first Frenchwoman to do so. The victory came months after she admitted in court to credit card fraud involving teammate Justine Braisaz-Bouchet. After her win, Simon told Eurosport she wants privacy and to focus only on biathlon.
