Maharashtra Congress chief Harshwardhan Sapkal accused the BJP of twisting his remarks on Shivaji Maharaj and Tipu Sultan to incite communal tensions and distract from key issues. He alleged the BJP is politicizing historical figures and condemned attacks on Congress workers in Pune. Sapkal questioned the BJP’s past use of Tipu Sultan’s image and their alliances.
