A 27-year-old Muslim woman, Tamanna Malik, filed an FIR after receiving death threats for participating in the Kanwar Yatra. Malik, who walked the pilgrimage route in a burqa carrying Ganga water, was welcomed by locals and Hindu organizations. She undertook the vow before her wedding to complete the yatra.
