In a striking development from Nawada district’s Akbarpur police station, a sub-inspector identified as Pramod Kumar was collared by the Vigilance Investigation Bureau for allegedly soliciting a bribe of Rs25,000. This unscrupulous officer purportedly sought the funds to shield certain individuals from arrest and falsify case files.
