Maharashtra’s transport department has received nearly 1 crore applications for High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) for vehicles registered before April 2019. Over 73 lakh vehicles have been fitted with these plates, with the deadline set for December 31, 2025. Enforcement will soon begin to ensure compliance with this mandatory security feature.
