Communist Party workers protested near the US Consulate in Chennai against the apprehension of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. Approximately 150 protesters, including 25 women, were arrested by police when they attempted to march towards the consulate. The demonstrators were detained at a community hall in Royapettah.
