ByteDance is reportedly splitting its US TikTok workforce into two units to comply with US regulations. Employees handling data protection and algorithm security will join a new US-based joint venture, while those in commercial roles will remain with a global ByteDance entity. This move aims to separate US operations and satisfy ownership rules by January 22.
