Odisha’s deputy chief minister announced plans to seek UNESCO World Heritage status for the Buddhist sites of Lalitgiri, Ratnagiri, and Udayagiri. The state also aims to revive the ancient Pushpagiri university and develop infrastructure to boost tourism at these historically significant locations.
