Nagpur’s municipal election campaign turned violent as BJP corporator Bhushan Shingne was brutally attacked by a group allegedly led by Ganesh Chacherkar. Shingne sustained a serious knife injury and was assaulted with an iron rod while investigating voter influence allegations. Police have registered an attempt to murder case against Chacherkar and others.
