In a passionate plea, former minister Bhim Singh has called for a cessation of sand mining along the Falgu river near Bodh Gaya. He emphasized that such activities are adversely affecting the local ecosystem and exacerbating the existing water crisis. Singh pointed out the alarming decline in groundwater levels and the detrimental effects on flora and fauna.
