Despite being acquitted by the Allahabad High Court over a month ago, 45-year-old Azad Khan remains imprisoned in Uttar Pradesh. He is still behind bars because the certified copy of his acquittal order has not reached the authorities responsible for his release. His family is now working to obtain the necessary documents for his freedom.
