The Allahabad High Court quashed all criminal proceedings against businessman Nikant Jain in an extortion and corruption case linked to a solar project. The court found no offence made out under the BNS or Prevention of Corruption Act, as the complainant admitted filing the complaint under a ‘wrong impression’ and acknowledged no money was paid.
