Amazon Web Services has launched a new, entirely European cloud infrastructure to address data security concerns and pursue digital sovereignty. This move, with a 7.8 billion euro investment, physically and legally isolates the cloud from AWS’s global network, aiming to comply with EU regulations and mitigate risks from US legislation like the Cloud Act.
