Two individuals have been apprehended in Assam’s Jorhat district for the alleged rape and murder of a 70-year-old woman. Her body was discovered in a drain on Thursday morning after she was reported missing the previous evening. The accused, who are daily wage labourers, confessed to the crime during interrogation.
