Two Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) councillors have switched allegiance to the Shiv Sena in Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation (UMC). This move bolsters the Shiv Sena’s numbers to 38, surpassing the majority mark and hindering the BJP’s bid to form the civic body. The councillors cited development needs for their wards as the reason for their decision.
