The Athletic reports the Chicago Cubs are close to trading for Miami Marlins pitcher Edward Cabrera. The right-hander is coming off a strong 2025 season and is under team control through 2028. If completed, the deal would add another power arm to a Cubs rotation that already includes Shota Imanaga, Jameson Taillon, and Cade Horton.
