Unidentified criminals fired eight rounds at a drilling contractor’s home on the outskirts of Ranchi, aiming to instill fear and extort money. The miscreants abandoned their bike and two pistols while fleeing. A criminal gang later claimed responsibility, demanding Rs 5 crore and threatening further violence.
