Daley Thompson is a former English decathlete. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest all-around athletes in sports history. Thompson won Olympic gold medals in the decathlon at the 1980 Moscow Games and the 1984 Los Angeles Games. His dominance lasted nearly a decade. Between 1978 and 1987, he went unbeaten in competition and rewrote record books around the world.
