Cuttack police successfully apprehended Madhukant Rana, a fugitive who escaped Choudwar Circle Jail in October 2025. Rana, arrested in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh, was living under an alias and working at a guest house. He was initially jailed for dacoity, murder, and illegal firearms possession.
