India’s sugar output has seen a significant jump of 18.35 percent reaching 19.50 million tonnes by January 31 of the 2025-26 season. This increase is driven by higher production in key states like Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Karnataka. More sugar mills are operational this season compared to the previous year.
