Jharkhand’s sand mining operations can now resume after the High Court lifted its ban. The court vacated its stay on sand ghat allocations, previously imposed due to non-implementation of PESA Rules. The state government informed the court that the PESA Rules were approved in December, leading to the disposal of a contempt petition and the end of the mining halt.
