The Economic Offences Wing has registered a case of cheating and criminal conspiracy after a farmer’s agricultural land was illegally sold using an expired power of attorney. The investigation revealed that the power of attorney holder continued to sell the land for nine months after the farmer’s death in 2022, earning illegal gains.
