Electronic voting machines from recent municipal elections are being redeployed for upcoming Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti polls across 12 districts. Memory cards will be secured before the EVMs are transferred for the February 5th rural elections. The State Election Commission is also reviewing requests to change the polling date due to a major religious festival.
