Haridwar Municipal Corporation has clarified that no new restrictions on non-Hindu entry into Har Ki Pauri have been imposed. Officials stated that existing provisions, in place since before India’s Independence, restrict entry to preserve the area’s religious sanctity. Media reports suggesting a new government policy were deemed factually incorrect.
