The Orissa High Court has directed Odisha’s Principal Secretary (Home) and DGP to personally ensure police officers receive training on mandatory arrest procedures. This follows repeated violations of constitutional safeguards, including Article 22(1) and Section 47 of the BNSS, observed in a Nayagarh bank robbery case.
