Kolkata’s city airport is upgrading 954 of its 1,774 three-seater chairs with built-in USB ports to address passenger complaints about limited charging facilities. This initiative, costing an estimated Rs 5-6 crore, aims to allow flyers to charge their phones while seated, particularly at boarding gates and in the arrival zone.
