Cleveland Browns’ newly appointed head coach Todd Monken has reignited a quarterback competition for the 2026 season. He stated that despite a length absence, Deshaun Watson has a legitimate shot at the starting role for the Cleveland Browns. This comes after a disappointing 2025 season where the Browns struggled with several quarterbacks vying for the position. Shedeur Sanders had very little time to prove himself. Now, there may be a 2.0 quarterback competition at Cleveland with Watson, Gabriel, and Sanders as lead stars.
