CBI has arrested a Vodafone area sales manager for his alleged role in the illegal bulk sale of SIM cards to cybercriminals. The probe uncovered a large module facilitating over 20,000 fraudulent SIMs, used for phishing scams targeting Indian citizens. This crackdown aims to disrupt the technical infrastructure of organised cybercrime.
