The Chicago White Sox made a calculated pitching move on Sunday that says more about the Boston Red Sox

The Chicago White Sox acquired veteran right-hander Jordan Hicks from the Boston Red Sox in a multi-player deal that also included prospect David Sandlin, cash, and two players to be named later. Boston received right-hander Gage Ziehl and a player to be named later, while agreeing to pay $8 million of Hicks’ remaining $25 million contract.
