Vigilance sleuths and forest personnel conducted a joint raid on an illegal saw mill in Cuttack’s Athanga village, seizing timber worth Rs 13 lakh and saw mill accessories. The operation revealed the mill was operating without a valid license, violating the Orissa Sawmill and Sawpit (Control) Act, 1991. Two forest offense cases have been registered, and further investigation is ongoing.
