A remarkable new fish, Priocharax rex, has been discovered in Colombia’s Amazon. This tiny species, measuring just 0.8 inches, is the largest of its genus and boasts a unique, wing-like skin flap between its pelvic fins. Its transparent body and large eyes are adaptations to dim forest streams, highlighting the Amazon’s hidden biodiversity.
