Veteran Communist Party of India leader R. Nallakannu, aged 101, passed away on Wednesday at Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital due to multi-organ failure. Admitted to the ICU on February 1, his health had been deteriorating, and he was on life support. Doctors declared him deceased at 1:55 PM after his condition worsened.
