Western Railway has commissioned the indigenous KAVACH train protection system on the Vadodara–Surat–Virar section, enhancing safety on a busy corridor. This advanced technology, developed in India, prevents collisions and over-speeding, adding a crucial safety layer. With this, 435 route km on Western Railway are now operational with KAVACH.
