Israel announced it killed Raed Saad, a Hamas commander in Gaza, after an explosive device wounded two Israeli soldiers. Saad, who oversaw Hamas’ weapons manufacturing and previously led its operations division, was described by Israel as a key architect of the October 7, 2023 attack on Israel.
